Musings and thoughts from Mothers and family

What does it take to be a Mother? When does being a Mother start and where do we learn the guide lines and instructions?
Does being a Mother begin during those months that a baby is growing inside us?
From the first moments we learn the news, you are going to have a baby.
Those first few weeks before the rest of the world knows our secret are silent and just letting are bodies celebrate and get used to the fact our bodies will never be the same again.
Nature plays a way of letting the people around us that their is new life growing inside. From the first weeks of morning sickness from the mild nausea to the full blown event that you cant keep a drop of food down.
Our bodies are adapting and do we need special care already we are being prepared for a spectacular event. We are so tired that we can not stay awake ,its nap time in the middle of the day, remember.

Monthly visits to the Doctor and then the excitement of seeing the baby growing in your womb and hearing the first heart beat.We stop and give thanks to the Lord above or the creator as we know him. Then in the quiet of the day we feel the first kick of our baby we think first what is that? The most wonderful feeling ,if feels like a butterflies at first and we smile with the knowledge.

By this time the rest of the world knows our secret, our belly begins to swell and our precious little baby-to-bee is growing stronger every day . Towards the event that is his day to make his entry into the world.

So many decisions to make for the moms and dads to be to think in their minds. From clothing and diapering and feeding to just reaching for Dr. Spock. Anyone and everyone will have advice for you to hear as you stand in line at the grocery store or keeping active by going for a walk.

Any Mother feels qualified or seems to be to give you well sounded advice on what you need.
There are the feelings that we secretly feel.
Will I be a good MOTHER, will I know what to do . What happens if and the list goes on.
How willI feel about giving birth ?,you are scared and anticipating the day of arrival .So many items for one little person are gathered from the crib and clothes to bottles and diapers and car seats strollers and buggy's.
Then our concept of parenting what we will do, feed on demand or by schedule.
Little do we know that our precious baby will guide us and be the boss of this .

I can relieve a sense of yes, my daughters are grown and I am blessed with two grand children.
